They got a boost this week when the Manchester Evening News reported that City would have to persuade Zinchenko to stay by promising him more regular game time.

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has revealed that he will depart the club this summer after spending the season on loan at Fiorentina.
A return to Serie A is extremely likely, and the Uruguayan has expressed his desire to do so.
This season, Torreira has five goals and two assists, and his future appears to be set outside of north London.
He said in an interview with FanPage: “My preference is to stay at Fiorentina, but the club must first reach an agreement with Arsenal.
I am in fantastic health in Florence. In Italy, I’m doing OK.”
Tielemans, Youri’s decision
Arsenal are looking to add to their midfield this summer, with Leicester’s Youri Tielemans a top target. The Belgian has been an important part of Brendan Rodgers’ stay at the King Power Stadium, but it now appears like he may go.
“Arsenal’s interest in Youri Tielemans has not waned, and their plans have not changed.”
He’s a target for the midfield, but a deal isn’t imminent because negotiations will take time,” according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
“Two other clubs are also interested in Tielemans, who is expected to depart Leicester this summer.”
