Rangnick, the interim United manager, told reporters: “I don’t believe he hasn’t gotten enough playing time. Since I’ve been here, he’s played 13-14 games, and he’s played more games from the start than he hasn’t. I don’t believe this is a problem, and he hasn’t mentioned it since we spoke yesterday.
“However, the window is currently closed. Even if he and his agents or family consider going to another club at any point during the summer, he can do so, but only during the summer.
“The window has now been closed. It has nothing to do with the game tomorrow or the game on Tuesday.”

Rashford has struggled to find consistent playing time in the 2021-22 season, with United adding to their front line in the summer with the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.
