Kai Havertz scored as Chelsea were held to a 1-1 against Burnley at Stamford Bridge which saw the Blues dropping points with Liverpool set to narrow things down when they play.
The game wasn’t an easy one for the Blues who had to struggle in breaking through Nick Pope who was tremendous in goal for the visitors in all the duration of the 90 minutes played.
Burnley made sure they didn’t give Chelsea easy access against them as they locked up everywhere which took some moments of brilliance that led to the goal which saw both teams finding the back of the net.

It was a good start to life in the first half of the encounter which saw Chelsea dominating things as they pushed forward looking to get the opening goal of the game.
Burnley did everything possible to make sure they didn’t go down easily as they continued making sure their defending was perfect against the side who pressured them so much.
Kai Havertz was able to give the Premier League leaders the lead in the 33rd minute of the game after a good assist from Reece James saw the German finishing off to make it 1-0.
The match progressed further with more opportunities coming through as both goalkeepers showed so much quality in making sure things remained the same as they approached 40 minutes.
Nothing else could be recorded as the first half of the encounter ended with Chelsea taking a 1-0 lead into the break against a Burnley side who were well organized after 45 minutes.
The second half wasn’t that good for the Blues who started giving away the ball and couldn’t maintain their dominance as the visiting side made sure they capitalized on the opportunities.
It wasn’t looking good for Chelsea who could have increased their advantage in the encounter but they didn’t take their advantage into getting another goal which is what was needed to change things.
Burnley continued to grow confidence as the match progressed with them getting more opportunities on goal against the Champions of Europe who looked poor containing things on their end.
The leveler finally came in the 79th minute of the second half which saw Matej Vydra ensuring his finish was top-notch beating Edouard Mendy to make the scoreline 1-1 as things looked complicated for Thomas Tuchel.
More opportunities came from the Blues, but nothing could be done as they approached the final few minutes left to play in the encounter which was accompanied by added time by the referee.
The game came to a conclusion with Chelsea dropping two points against Burnley who held them to a 1-1 draw which could now see Liverpool narrowing their gap on top of the table to one point.
