A goal from Ben Chilwell helped Chelsea overcome Brentford 0-1 in a London Derby at the Community Stadium as the Blues moved back to the top of the League table.
Ben Chilwell scored a banger in the first half which was the highlight of the match as Thomas Tuchel made sure he got the job done by getting three points which keep them top of the Premier League for matchday 8.
The goals could have been more for the Blues who saw Romelu Lukaku opener chopped off as other opportunities were wasted from both teams who had so much to offer going forward in the game.

Chelsea started the game with so much pace going forward as they made sure they made things happen in the first half of the encounter which was tough for them, but they did manage to make good use of their opportunity.
The early few minutes of the first half saw Brentford holding off the Blues as they couldn’t make much noise under 20 minutes of football played which saw them also unable to make any shot on target going forward.
Romelu Lukaku had the ball in the back of the net in the 22nd minute of the encounter but unfortunately, his celebration was dealt with a blow after the goal was ruled out for offside by officials as the scoreline remained goalless.
Things progressed further with Ben Chilwell finding the back of the net in the 46th minute after an amazing attacking display saw the wing-back smashed a stunner beating the goalkeeper to make things 0-1.
The first half didn’t go further than much until the referee ended things with Chelsea heading into the break with all the needed advantage against Brentford away from home after a good 45 minutes of football.
It was game on for both London clubs who continued the derby with so much to do going forward and defending to make sure nothing got worst while they fight to kill off the encounter became the target for Thomas Tuchel and his players.
The game was getting more difficult for Chelsea who was pressure so much in the second half as Edouard Mendy continues to prove why he is being called one of the best goalkeepers in the World by pulling off outstanding saves.
Brentford grew more confidence into the game as their opportunities became more than their opponent who has so much work to do defending their less which was at risk of getting canceled as the Bees almost scored but strike hit the woodwork.
The Premier League leaders continue to hang onto their narrow lead as everything was at stake with Thomas Tuchel making a few changes to tightened things more for their opponent not to be able to shake them for a goal.
Edouard Mendy had a knock as the game progressed in the 88th minute of the match which saw him being treated before he eventually made a return back to play as the referee add four extra minutes of injury time to the encounter.
More injuries as Reece James was also down in the game as things progressed and finished with Chelsea taking all three points after a narrow 0-1 win against Brentford in the London derby which was super entertaining.
