FULL MATCH REPORT

The first half started with both teams testing each other as the game was evenly balanced which saw few opportunities created going forward as that’s how it played out all through.

It wasn’t a bad start for Tottenham who had the home advantage as they were perfectly getting the job done by pressuring their opponent who was slacking in the middle of the park.

Chelsea started slow but later picked up and began to dominate ball possession which they are known for doing regardless of the team they are playing against as they started pressing.

Nothing could be made out of the first half of the encounter which continued with both teams doing everything possible to get the opening goal as they also had to keep their defense clean from conceding.

It was all in vain as the first half ended with Tottenham holding Chelsea into the break for a draw scoreline which both sides couldn’t find the back of the net despite all the opportunities created.

The second half started perfectly for the Blues who were in control from kickoff which wasn’t good news for Spurs as they struggled to hold them off despite their defensive formation.

Chelsea opened the goal scoring in the 49th minute of the game through Brazilian defender Thiago Silva who benefitted from Marcos Alonso who provide the assistance to make the scoreline 0-1 for the Blues.

The game continued with Tottenham looking very bad in getting their defense in order as their opponent continued to dominate things going forward and putting so much pressure on them.

NGolo Kante came in from the bench and made it count in the 57th minute after an amazing play saw the France midfielder converting from Mateo Kovacic assist to make the scoreline increasing to 0-2 as it progressed.

The match was all but done as more kept on coming in with Thomas Tuchel bringing on Timo Werner to replace Kai Havertz as the pressure was looking too much for Spurs who had so much work to do at the back.

It wasn’t done yet as Antonio Rudiger scored to kill off the encounter in the 92nd minute of the match after he teamed up with fellow German International to make the scoreline 0-3 with a perfect goal.

The referee finally signaled for full-time which saw Chelsea claiming another three points as they beat Tottenham 0-3 away from home to maintain their position at the top of the table with 13 points as Liverpool and Manchester United.
