Romelu Lukaku Send WARNING After Chelsea Return (DETAILS)
Chelsea have officially confirmed the signing of Romelu Lukaku move from Inter Milan for a reported €115 million after both clubs reached an agreement.
The striker has been linked more than once to make a return back to Stamford Bridge where he once played for years ago as Antonio Conte approached him during his time in charge of the Blues.
Romelu Lukaku have now completed his move to Chelsea this summer as negotiations with Inter Milan was completed this summer after a week of talks which was short and brief before an agreement.
Thomas Tuchel who have been long eyeing a move for a forward have now signed a much needed striker which has been a issue since he took over from Frank Lampard in the middle of the season January.
The team did managed to claim the Uefa Champions League title despite not having a regular striker as Timo Werner was unable to produce same form from RB Leipzig, although the Blues lost out to Leicester City in the FA cup final by 1-0 result.
Romelu Lukaku is now officially a Chelsea player after confirmation by the club who will be hoping the player can be able to feature in for the Super Cup against Villarreal which will be played on the 11th that is Wednesday this week.
There is no guarantee that he could make the starting lineup for the game even with everything done and completed today, the player will need to adapt to live and train with the rest of he players before he could play.
The negotiations between Inter Milan and Chelsea as the first bid for the player was turned down which included Marcos Alonso plus cash fee of €100 million as the club weren’t looking to sell but had to change their mind due to financial problems.
HERE IS WHAT ROMELU LUKAKU HAD TO SAY:
‘I’m happy and blessed to be back at this wonderful club. ‘It’s been a long journey for me: I came here as a kid who had a lot to learn, now I’m coming back with a lot of experience and more mature.
‘The relationship I have with this club means so much to me, as you know. I have supported Chelsea as a kid and now to be back and try to help them win more titles is an amazing feeling.
‘The way the club is going fits my ambitions perfectly at 28 and just coming off winning Serie A. I think this opportunity comes at the right time and hopefully we can have a lot of success together.
‘Since I left Chelsea, it’s been a long journey with a lot of ups and downs, but these experiences made me strong and the challenge is to try to help the team win some more trophies. I can’t wait to get started and to help the club achieve more success.’
Chelsea had to go back and bring back another bid which was an increase of €115 million without any player to add as negotiations resumed between the two sides which didn’t last more than two days before it happened.
Inter Milan and Chelsea finally agreed a deal for €115 million move for Romelu Lukaku who have now completed the move with everything now official between the two sides this summer transfer window.
Chelsea were suppose to sign Erling Haaland, although the deal proved difficult to happen this summer as Borussia Dortmund wanted a crazy bid which wasn’t going to happen not from any team in Europe.
It was reported that a transfer fee of €175 million was requested by Borussia Dortmund for a move to happen which the Blues felt they couldn’t make it happen as they had to improvise and check for another option.
The Norwegian Erling Haaland was seen quoted in an interview that the fee was “too much on one player” as he wasn’t sure such amount could be able put on a player with the financial crisis which hit football due to coronavirus.
Romelu Lukaku was their possible next option and they had to make a move happen within the week as everything necessary was finalize and now their next target will be to finish Jules Kounde negotiations with Sevilla.
