Chelsea move for Jules Kounde is now confirmed to be off with both sides unable to reach an agreement for the defender as the Blues land Saul Niguez.
Sevilla turned down a €55 million deadline day offer for the defender who have already agreed on personal terms with the club after few days of talk which was earlier suggested Kurt Zouma will be used as lightweight for the move.
With Jules Kounde deal off, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for Saul Niguez who is now set to undergo his medical before he will be unveiled as a Blue in the coming days.
The Blues were offered a chance to sign the midfielder just at the same time as both Liverpool and Manchester United where planning a permanent move which wasn’t on the mind of Atletico Madrid.
It won’t be a bad day at the end of it all despite Chelsea losing out on Jules Kounde as they already have suitable backup plans in the team with the rising of another talent in Trevoh Chalobah.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed Saul Niguez to Chelsea move by saying;
“Saul to Chelsea, here we go! Agreement reached for €5M loan from Atletico Madrid. “Personal terms agreed. Saul will be in London soon to sign the contract.
The midfielder will set to make a move to London soon, where he will be carrying out his medical and finalizing the remaining paperwork for his contract which will see him being announced by the club if everything goes well.
All Things good he might be playing Chelsea next game after the international break is done in two weeks from now as Countries will be playing their World Cup qualification and friendly matches.
